Who has access to Knowledge Insights dashboards?
Knowledge Insights dashboards are admin-only. Administrators can export reports and share results directly with stakeholders who don't need direct access to the dashboard themselves.
What kind of dashboards are included in Knowledge Insights?
Knowledge Insights covers system health, content creation trends, viewer retention, session activity and recorder status, each surfacing a different aspect of your Panopto deployment, from how people engage with content to which recorders need attention.
What is the Knowledge Insights Data Connector?
The Data Connector lets administrators integrate Panopto analytics directly with the BI tools their organisation already uses, such as Tableau or Power BI, so teams working in those environments can analyse video data alongside other organisational metrics.
Can I export data from Knowledge Insights?
Yes. Dashboards can be filtered by department, folder or time period and exported, making it easy to share results with stakeholders or fold the numbers into existing reports.
How are threshold alerts delivered?
Alerts go out by email, SMS or webhook. Each administrator sets their own notification preferences, so people only get the alerts relevant to their role, whether that's storage warnings or unusual drops in usage.
Is Knowledge Insights available as a standalone product?
No. Knowledge Insights requires an active Panopto video CMS licence. If you're not yet a Panopto customer, the video CMS is the starting point, and Knowledge Insights can be added as part of your agreement.
